An extraordinary antique 9ct Gold double sided swivel locket from the Victorian era, Circa 1880.
The double sided locket is set with a natural green Jasper stone on the front and a deep orange Carnelian on the reverse.
Carnelian has been worn throughout history as a symbol of leadership, providing the wearer with the courage needed in life.
Jasper is a stone grounded in nature with a wonderful rich speckled texture that comes in a variety of different earthy colours, from dark green to sandy brown.
The locket is fitted to a beautiful engraved 9ct Yellow Gold gallery which can be spun around and worn both ways.
Both sides of the locket open and close securely with room to add photographs within.
This is a unique antique find and one to be treasured.
